Bonnie Parker relocated to Morrisburg in 1997 to open Parker Funeral Home, fulfilling her calling. She developed her own logo birthed from a vision during a visit to Upper Canada Village. Bonnie noticed that there were over 25 different varieties of weeping willow trees on the gravestones which symbolized weeping and sadness about death. The weeping willow is also considered to be a symbol for the Gospel of Christ.
Just as a willow tree can withstand the loss of many branches and live, so the Gospel flourishes, even in the face of adversity.
