Peacefully at Winchester Hospital on Saturday, October 7, 2017 Dolores Christine Prosser Morris of Mariatown. She was born in the house where she was currently living in Mariatown. In her younger years “Do” went to S.S. #1 school in Mariatown and later high school in Morrisburg, participating in many school activities. Dolores graduated from the Brockville General Hospital School of Nursing in 1959. She and a friend (Carol Ann) worked in Medicine Hat, AB for a few years. Later she boarded with her Aunt Joyce, Uncle Bob, Cousin Mike and worked at the Montreal General Hospital specializing in open heart surgery. Then she graduated from Western University in London with her B.S.N. She taught nursing at the Brockville General Hospital until her marriage on March 13, 1971 to John Morris at Lakeshore Drive United Church, Morrisburg. She was then hired by John Abbott College in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, QC. where she taught nursing. In her last few years before retirement she taught Psychiatric Nursing at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal for the John Abbott College. Upon her retirement as a nursing professor, after fully enjoying her career, “Do” travelled and also spent many satisfying hours gardening. She was a very active member in her church, taking on numerous roles. The Bazaar there on Saturday, October 28 will not be the same without her present. She liked to spend time in her kitchen making jams, jellies and pickles. What friend didn’t receive her traditionally made chocolate goodies? She was also a member of the Morrisburg Legion Ladies Auxiliary and was a beloved comrade.

Cherished sister of Cheryl Miller of Long Sault. Dearly loved by nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Phyllis and Ralph Prosser, devoted husband John Morris, cherished friend and long-time companion, Charles Reid, and brother-in-law Chuck Miller.
